This Chili Popcorn Recipe is very simple to make, tastes delicious, and perfect low fat diet. Moreover, when you think of popcorn, you may think of the buttery movie-theater variety - heavy on trans fats and calories. However, you can make popcorn in your own home that tastes just as good – with some extra chili. For munching anytime, this savory snack is a fun alternative to popcorn with lots of salt and butter. It gets nice zip from a coating of chili powder, garlic powder and Parmesan cheese.
INGREDIENTS
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 2 1/2 quarts popped popcorn
- Refrigerated butter-flavored spray*
DIRECTIONS
In a large re-sealable plastic bag or other 2-qt. airtight container, combine the Parmesan cheese and seasonings; mix well. Add popcorn; spritz with butter-flavored spray. Close bag and shake. Continue spritzing and shaking until popcorn is coated.
