Popcorn Oil
You can pop corn kernels in oil and then cover them with melted butter and salt. Oil based popcorn may be less healthy but it’s definitely more delicious. It does add much more flavor especially if you use olive oil. But this is a matter of choice. You can use canola, peanut or grapeseed oil. The market is flooded with popcorn popping oil.
For more flavors coat the popcorn maker bottom with a few tablespoons of any vegetable oil. Canola oil in moderation is great when you want neutral tasting oil. Also you avoid cholesterol and sugar this way. And it gives a really nice touch to popcorn. If you use coconut oil then be sure you will be able to smell it. For enjoying theater like popcorn oil works really well to make crunchy popcorn every time.
